How to make a small garden

To create a small garden it is necessary to choose plants with reduced dimensions, or in any case with a mainly vertical development, which are generally varieties:

- shrubby

- bushy

- herbaceous evergreens

- flowering

Some assumptions must also be taken into consideration:

- size of the garden

- exposure

- weather conditions

- types of terrain

- type of lighting

- coexistence between plants.

Mimosa

It is an evergreen shrub plant, with very fragrant and very intense flowers, with vertical development, particularly advisable for creating delicious ornamental color spots.

It has a woody stem, up to 10-12 meters high.

The leaves are bipinnate and composed of many small dark green leaves.

The flowers are gathered in flower heads, similar to small balls, plumed and fragrant, golden yellow, which show an early flowering (from January to March).

The fruits are legumes of black color, from 5 to 10 centimeters long.

It requires a deep, well-drained soil rich in organic material, with an acidic tendency.

It must be housed in sunny areas of the garden; its ideal temperature should never drop below 15 degrees.

The waterings, never too abundant to not soak the soil, must be repeated every two months and only during the juvenile phases of the plant.

Fertilization is recommended twice a year with liquid fertilizers.
